Operating hours &
appointments
Appointments are typically scheduled during
office hours, which are
Monday—Friday
8
a.m.—5 p.m.
Unanticipated complications with
other patients may cause delays or changes to your physician's
schedule. If this happens, SETC will do everything possible to keep
you informed. Likewise, if you must change your appointment, please
contact the office at
the earliest possible time.
Don't hesitate to write down any
questions you may have about your care or status to discuss with
your doctor during the appointment. Feel free to bring along a
friend or family member to discuss your care options and jot down
the answers.
Insurance and payment
SETC will
make every effort to answer financial question about your care.
SETC's specialists serve as a resource for maximizing your insurance
coverage and planning for your financial obligations.
Openness and
good communication are the best guarantees of mutual understanding
regarding payment expectations for cancer treatment. Please provide
all current information on your first visit and updates should your
information change. To limit your liability for payments, you should
communicate with your insurance provider as soon as possible.
SETC will
file your insurance claims and work with your insurace carrier to
provide any additional information needed to get your claims paid
appropriately. You will be asked to sign the benefits assignment
portion of the insurance form before the claim is submitted. This
authorizes payment to be made directly to SETC and you must sign it
(or pay the bill in full) before the claim can be completed. SETC
will bill you for your annual deductible amount only after the
initial billing to your insurance provider. Co-payments for private
insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid should be made at the time of your
visit. SETC will file with your secondary insurance for any
remaining balance.
For your
convenience, SETC accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American
Express.
Past-due accounts
If any difficulty should
arise with payment of your bill, contact our business
office as soon as possible. There's generally a solution to any
economic problem, and SETC will help you develop a plan to deal with
the situation.
If your insurance
provider has not paid for services within 60 days of the claim being
filed, SETC will bill you for the amount due. This keeps you
informed of the situation and enlists your help in getting a
positive response from your provider.
